How it works

A city, on your terms.

No guide to follow, no group to keep up with, no fixed departure. You choose where and when; the streets start talking as you reach them. Here's the whole thing, start to finish.

The walk, step by step
  1. 01

    Choose a city

Browse the atlas and pick a city. One flat price — the same whether you choose 4 landmarks or every one. No tiers, no upsell.

  2. 02

    Pick your stops

Open the picker: each landmark carries a star rating. Choose 4 or more, and Lume calculates the optimal walking route and how long it takes — so you know before you go.

  3. 03

    Pay once, get your code

Apple Pay, Google Pay, Link or card — right on the page, in your currency. Your activation code and link arrive by email within about 15 minutes while we finish building your tour.

  4. 04

    Load it on Wi-Fi

Open your link on Wi-Fi and the audio and map download to your phone. From there you can walk the entire city offline — no roaming, no data abroad.

  5. 05

    Activate whenever you're ready

Open your tour and tap activate any time — even at home the night before — to choose your stops and download in advance. Activating doesn't start the clock: the 12 hours begin only when you reach your first stop and start walking.

  6. 06

Walk — the city comes to you

Head to your first stop. As you arrive, Lume senses you're there, vibrates softly, and the narration begins on its own — like a guide who stops in front of the cathedral. A large play button is always there too, in case your phone blocks autoplay.

  7. 07

    Every word, sourced

No invented history. Each fact is researched and cited — open the sources panel any time to see exactly where a claim comes from. Real stories, told well.

Good to know
How is this different from a guided tour?
There's no guide, no schedule and no group. You walk at your own pace and press play when you arrive, narrated in any of 32 languages. Stop for coffee, double back, skip a stop — it's your walk.
Do I need internet while I walk?
No. Load the tour on Wi-Fi first, then walk fully offline — GPS works without any data, so there's no roaming abroad.
When does the 12-hour pass start?
Only when you start walking — the moment you reach and play your first stop, never when you pay or activate. So you can activate at home or your hotel, choose your stops and download everything in advance without touching the clock. The 12 hours begin the second you set off.
What if the audio doesn't start by itself?
Some phones block autoplay until you interact with the screen. A big, obvious play button is always on screen, so you're never stuck.
How many stops can I choose?
From 1, for the same flat price. Lume builds the optimal route around the stops you pick.
Which languages are available?
32 languages. You choose yours at checkout — or when you redeem a gift.
Can I gift it, or book for a group?
Yes to both — gift a city of their choice, or buy one code per phone for a group at a degressive price.
